8 OCTOBER2023W MAN LEADERGLOBAL W MAN LEADERGLOBAL NEWS BITESThis week, the Female Entrepreneurs of Midland (FEM) will officially launch with the intention of encouraging support and emancipation among female business leaders in the area.By giving women a platform to encourage one another, President Lauren Howard expressed her delight for FEM's plans to close a critical gap in the business environment of Midland and Odessa.President Howard stressed that there was a particular need for support for female entrepreneurs since "I've never seen a city with such thriving entrepreneurship."On September 29th, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Second Story Coworking facility, there will be an official launch event for FEM.The relevance of FEM's distinctive strategy was emphasized by vice president Kimberly Whitten, who said, "Male and female businesses often differ, and FEM aims to connect on a personal level that can truly resonate with female entrepreneurs."FEM is a female-focused organization that provides its members with networking opportunities, business resources, motivational speakers, and fundraising activities for charities."Our branding reflects the strength and femininity we want to empower--featuring vibrant pinks, purples, and bold colors," President Howard said.FEM, which has a varied board of five women with various business backgrounds, aims to give female company owners in the Midland, Odessa, and West Texas area a sense of community.Whitten continued, "With so many female-owned businesses in our area, FEM provides a safe space for individuals to connect, share experiences, and tackle the daily challenges we all encounter."The establishment of FEM is a positive step in fostering and assisting the thriving group of female entrepreneurs in the Midland and Odessa region.
