But with the progress of time, women's participation in administration, business and politics has decreased. In 2023, Egypt's female labor force participation rate was at 16.45 Percent. the Egyptian nation was placed at the 129th position in the global gender gap index in 2022, a dismal position. However, the country is on a mend and looking to build a more equitable society for men and women. Steadfast progress is being made towards women's empowerment in the corporate world.This makes the existing women business leaders in Egypt even more inspirational. A psychotherapist turned entrepreneur; Naveen Hashem is one such name. she has built a premium pet food brand in the Egypt market.
