It has been widely accepted that an equitable world that treats all genders the same is the need of the hour.Some regions in the world have made more progress than others when it comes to the journey towards complete gender equality. For instance, the Western world has had a much better outcome as compared to other Asian or African nations.Culture has played a key role in impacting the outcome of journey towards attaining complete gender equality. Israel has always been a unique spot when it comes to gender equality. Although a part of the Middle Eastern region, the nation has always fared better on the gender index. However, over the past few years it has been observed that Israel has been lagging in terms of gender equality. While it has fared better on some parameters, yet on some, it has not. Recent findings by the World Economic Forum have brought interesting insights to light. The 2022 Global Gender Gap Report concluded that Israel had gone down the list of 146 countries. In 2022, the country fell from the 60th place to the 83rd place. The gender parity percentage also lowered between 2022 and 2023. The country and its think tanks need to wake up and smell the coffee. Gender equality is serious business and can impact a nation's economic progress significantly.
