Women's Inclusion in Decision Making & Leadership Will Boost Regional Progress & Inclusiveness

Gender equality and women’s empowerment have long been areas of concern globally. The world has realised that women’s inclusion in the workforce is not only the ethically right thing to aspire for, but it also makes business sense. Various reports and studies have highlighted the business advantages that women’s inclusion in the workforce and leadership teams can bring about. Countries and organizations globally now give ample emphasis to promote women’s empowerment. Take for instance the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Community Vision 2025 of the Association for Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), which counts Gender equality and women’s empowerment as its top priority.

Their vision is to build a region that is inclusive and sustainable. Doing our bit to create a more inclusive world, GWL magazine highlights the commendable work done by women leaders from across the world. In this magazine edition meet, Charaspak Karnplumchit, Head of HR, Coca-Cola ThaiNamthip. An accomplished HR leader with extensive industry experience of over two and a half decades working in various senior and leadership roles with some of the biggest conglomerates in Thailand, Charaspak Karnplumchit started her career in IT before shifting to HR with AIS. Her extensive career graph includes working experience in both MNCs as well as startups with a proven track record of establishing successful businesses. Currently, she works as the Head of HR for Coca-Cola ThaiNamthip. Another noteworthy leader is Amy Chan, General Manager, Group Head of Human Resources, Dah Sing Bank. Amy is recognized as a Chartered Fellow by the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development in the United Kingdom. She received the "HR Leadership Award" at the 2010 Asia's Best Employer Brand Awards, a testament to her exceptional contributions to the field of Human Resources. This award highlights her outstanding leadership and expertise in HR.

We also highlight the success story of Supapohn Jendryssek, Head of Legal, 12Go. Supapohn, a legal professional, initiated her journey with a Bachelor of Laws from Thammasat University. With nearly two decades of experience, she has demonstrated her prowess in diverse industries, navigating complexities in technology integration, corporate law, and licensing. Currently serving as the Head of Legal at 12Go and previously as Legal Counsel at Travelier, Supapohn's leadership extends to renowned companies such as Wind Energy Holding and Aditya Birla Group.
