EQ & EI Aiding Women Leaders' Success Globally

By: Rachita Sharma, Managing Editor | Thursday, 21 December 2023

American author Beth Revis says, "Power isn't control at all - power is strength, and giving that strength to others. A leader isn't someone who forces others to make him stronger; a leader is someone willing to give their strength to others that they may have the strength to stand on their own." Indeed!

Sound leadership is much more than yielding power. Rather, it is about understanding the workforce and using one’s soft skills to build an efficient and cohesive team. Various studies have supported this theory that more than technical skills or IQ, a leader’s Emotional Intelligence matters.

Women leaders often showcase a heightened understanding of emotional quotient such as self-awareness, empathy, social skills etc. these qualities make women leaders efficient and effective, at times more than their male-counterparts.

At The Global Woman Leader, we celebrate women and their leadership skills. The current edition of the magazine also introduces you to a host of such leaders who leverage their EI and EQ to be more effective leaders.
