Linda Merrett's pivotal role as co-partner in leading Lisantix underscores her strategic acumen and complementary skillset. Throw some light on the major challenges you encounter in your current role. How do you overcome the said roadblocks?

Navigating the path of business leadership is fraught with numerous hurdles. In my current role, one of the foremost challenges is grappling with change and uncertainty, which seem to be ubiquitous in today's business landscape. Anticipating market shifts and the future trajectory of organizations has become imperative for success. I've found that authenticity in leadership is paramount when navigating this volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) environment. Openly discussing concerns and articulating potential solutions fosters understanding and resilience within the team. Encouraging team members to think entrepreneurially and propose innovative solutions has been pivotal, particularly during crises such as the sudden impact of Covid19, where all projects were abruptly halted. By fostering a culture of open communication and proactive problemsolving, we're better equipped to surmount the challenges that arise and adapt swiftly to changing circumstances.

In your opinion what have been the biggest ‘wins’ that you have achieved so far in your professional journey? What has been your success mantra over the years as a business leader?

In my view, the most significant triumph in my professional journey has been witnessing the growth and success of numerous former team members as they advance in their HR careers. The satisfaction of training individuals and empowering them to excel brings me immense pride. Personally, my greatest achievement has been summoning the courage to establish my own business. Creating a company that offers a flexible work environment aligning with various life situations has long been a dream, and I'm delighted to share this vision with like-minded individuals who value the freedom and trust we cultivate together. Additionally, building a robust network throughout my career, which contributes to our sales efforts, stands out as a major personal accomplishment. Facilitating connections among individuals to foster synergies has always been a passion of mine.

My success mantra revolves around authenticity and resilience. I firmly believe in staying true to oneself and embracing failures as learning opportunities. Each setback provides valuable lessons, but it's crucial not to repeat them. By maintaining authenticity and learning from mistakes, one can navigate challenges with integrity and determination, ultimately achieving long-term success.

How do you anticipate the trajectory of the global HR landscape in the near future? What technological advancements have had the most significant impact on the HR industry recently?

The HR domain is experiencing a notable transformation characterized by numerous challenges and advancements, marking a departure from traditional manual operations. Notably, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into various HR functions has been a pivotal development. However, the adoption of AI in HR progresses gradually, as the industry observes its implementation in other business sectors before embracing it fully. Despite this cautious approach, there is immense potential and benefits associated with leveraging AI in HR practices. Our team is actively engaged in expanding our expertise in this area to explore the diverse applications of AI.

Yet, amidst technological advancements, it's imperative to acknowledge the continued importance of interpersonal interaction and cultural dynamics within organizations. While technology streamlines processes, human connection remains indispensable for fostering organizational excellence. Balancing technological innovation with interpersonal relationships is crucial for achieving holistic success within organizations. As such, navigating this intersection between technology and human interaction will be pivotal in shaping the future of HR practices globally.
