Could you introduce us to AZ Scears Management Services & share the various roles & responsibilities you hold as the Managing Director?

AZ Scears Management Services is a company I founded 16 years ago, but its true transformation began three years ago after a pivotal moment in my life, the passing of my father. His death inspired me to evolve the business from its humble beginnings as a sole trader into the thriving company it is today. Built on strong family values, AZ Scears Management Services is often referred to as my first-born by those who know me, reflecting the countless hours, effort, and dedication I’ve invested in its growth.

As the Founder and Managing Director, I have a wide range of responsibilities. I oversee all aspects of the company’s operations, ensuring we uphold our core values of believing, behaving, belonging, and focusing on our bottom line. This requires me to carefully select team members who not only possess the right skills but also resonate with our company culture. I collaborate closely with the team to foster a strong, inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and accountable for their contributions to our collective success.

Initially starting as a sole trader 16 years ago, I’ve witnessed the company flourish into a successful enterprise that embodies our core values of believing, behaving, belonging, and focusing on the bottom line. A pivotal moment was the expansion that followed my father's passing, which inspired me to elevate AZ Scears Management Services to new heights. Successfully navigating that personal and professional shift stands out as a significant milestone.

Another major win has been assembling a talented team that shares our vision and values. I’ve worked hard to create a workplace culture where everyone feels valued and can contribute meaningfully to our collective success. Another critical shift is the adoption of technology. Digital tools such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), artificial intelligence, and advanced project management software are revolutionizing the industry, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration.
