'Uddami Ami', BRAC's Women Entrepreneurship Training Program Concludes

BRAC Business School’s flagship women entrepreneurship training program, Uddami Ami, came to a close last weekend.

A press release shared by the institute informed that the conclusion ceremony was held at the BRAC University New Campus in Dhaka. The ceremony highlighted the training of 20 women entrepreneurs from various industries from across Bangladesh. The women’s entrepreneurship training program which started in 2021 has so far trained more than 120 female entrepreneurs in Bangladesh

The event was attended by Md. Rezaul Karim, Company Secretary, HATIL; Mohammad Ashiqur Rahman, Director, SME & Special Program Department, Bangladesh Bank; Mohammad Mujibul Haque, PhD, Professor and Associate Dean, Acting Dean, BRAC Business School, BRAC University; and David Dowland, Registrar, BRAC University.

Mohammad Ashiqur Rahman, Director of Bangladesh Bank Director acknowledged the participants’ courage in pursuing the path of entrepreneurship. He also spoke about the support presented by the government through Tk 350 billion allocation by Bangladesh Bank.

Women entrepreneurs were given the chance to visit the HATIL factory for the Industry Visit session.

Mohammad Mujibul Haque, Professor and Associate Dean (Acting Dean), BRAC Business School, BRAC University highlighted BRAC Business School’s commitment towards upskilling Bangladeshi entrepreneurs and professionals.
