Sherpa Communications, an award-winning strategic public relations and communication firm in Dubai that offers PR services to businesses in the Middle East and the United Arab Emirates, teamed up with Communicate to promote women's emancipation at the first "Women to Watch" conference. On June 15, 2023, the event gathered together more than 350 renowned experts from the PR, advertising, creative, and marketing areas. The event's main focus was on dispelling gender stereotypes and promoting diversity across many industries.

Panel discussions with forward-thinking company executives who want to effect change were included at the conference. The event's goals were to promote gender equality in the region's creative industries, foster a positive dialogue about women's experiences, highlight inclusion-promoting change-makers, and give participants the chance to network with female mentors and role models who can provide insightful advice. With an impressive lineup of more than 30 industry leaders, including eminent speakers from well-known brands like Chalhoub Group, Google MENA, Tik Tok, and more, the speakers shared their individual perspectives on women's entrepreneurship, providing insightful information and suggestions to help bring about positive change.

As a partner in the event, Sherpa Communications gave the organisers help by using its network to spread the word about both the event and this crucial issue. Senior executives from the agency took part in an interesting panel discussion titled "The Power of Sisterhood: Investigating the Impact of Female Mentors and Role Models." The panellists discussed the value of female business mentors and offered a variety of suggestions for motivating women to realise their full potential.

"Women face unique challenges when it comes to accessing various business resources, which can hinder their ability to innovate, develop, and expand their ideas," said Anastasiya Golovatenko, PR Director at Sherpa Communications. According to the United Nations, “women only lead 23% to 26% of enterprises or thrive in the workplace, and there is a global gap in entrepreneurial chances between men and women. The 'Women to Watch' Conference is essential in giving us a venue to support the movement for women's professional advancement as a whole.”
