GCash, a leading finance super app of Philippines and the largest cashless ecosystem, has celebrated a significant milestone for its empowering women in technology’s advocacy. The scholar’s 1st batch has graduated with provided AI skills with regards to their careers and businesses.
It was in a partnership with Connected Women under the Elevate GAIL (Generative Artificial Intelligence Learning) program where nearly 100 women graduated amongst which majority of them were entrepreneurs and freelancers. The program continued for a month where women underwent training on topics like basic AI principles and applications along with hands-on experience with Gen AI tools and techniques.
Rommin Diaz, GCash Communications Strategy Head stated, “With the rise of the gig economy and remote work, more and more freelancers are embracing the potential of generative AI to enhance their productivity and earning potential. This is an opportunity and a space where we as GCash can really help and make an impact. It is our commitment to enable more women to pursue careers in tech and in STEM because women play a crucial role in developing solutions that benefit the society.”
Additionally, Gina Romero, the co-founder of Connected Women added, “For sure, generative AI is just at the beginning and we’re going to see a lot of new changes and exciting developments.
