Intending to address the hardship in the country, Gabriel Zock, Kachia/Kagarko Federal Constituency representing member in the state has empowered nearly 1000 women as well as youth in Kaduna state with business grants as part of the efforts.
This has been made possible in a partnership with the National Productivity Centre. The programme has provided 900 beneficiaries with N50,000 each while 100 others got exceptional business proposals who received grants that ranged from N300,000 to N7 million.
Gabriel said, “This empowerment grant is a response to the country’s economic situation. We recognise the challenges faced by the masses and aim to support our constituents by helping them start or grow businesses and access farm inputs, leading to improved livelihoods.”
He emphasised the importance of funds using wisely while addressing the beneficiaries in Kachia town. He also put a lot of stress on achieving financial independence and creating jobs opportunities for others.
These women and youth got to learn and grow in many different ways through this empowerment programme. It helped them to understand and grow their businesses, thriving in the industry while scaling and making it a bigger player in the market.
