The Trailblazer for Recycling & Clean Energy, in partnership with Virescent Ventures, has donated $1.6 million to Australian climate innovation businesses. This investment will be made through the UNSW Founders Climate 10x Program, which aims to discover and nurture the most promising climate innovation enterprises in the country.

The UNSW Founders Climate 10x Program is devoted to accelerating the growth of Australia's climate innovation entrepreneurs, and it has received the largest investment in this area through an accelerator program in Australia.

Virescent Ventures, Australia's largest climate tech-focused venture capital firm, has teamed up with The Trailblazer for Recycling & Clean Energy, a government-backed initiative with a $280 million investment goal to accelerate research commercialization towards a net-zero economy.

Eleni Assargiotis, Program Manager for the UNSW Founders Climate 10x program, stressed the organization's dedication to increasing gender diversity in entrepreneurship. The accelerator program, which focuses on women-led ventures, intends to contribute to cultural transformations in the entrepreneurial environment.

Blair Pritchard, Partner at Virescent Ventures, emphasized the importance of accelerator programs in solving the problems faced by climate change. Blair emphasized the necessity of harnessing Australia's academic talent pool to successfully combat climate change, highlighting the tremendous financial potential these businesses provide.

Despite progress, fresh data highlight the ongoing financing disparity for female entrepreneurs in Australia. Programs such as the UNSW Founders Climate 10x Program are crucial for reducing this inequality while also fostering innovation in climate technology to mitigate climate change.
