Goldman Sachs announces that 200 women entrepreneurs, part of its 10,000 Women Finance for Growth to raise Rs 850 crore from different investors. They will be able to grow their ventures and add jobs from the funding. In line with the government's goal of a Viksit Bharat by 2047, the effort has already helped India's economy flourish.
The initiative has produced job opportunities and provided around 3,500 women with access to money, mentorship, and critical skills in order to empower women entrepreneurs. Goldman Sachs hosted the event to commemorate the 10,000 Women in Finance for Growth campaign. Piyush Goyal, Minister for Commerce and Industry mentioned "The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women initiative highlights the untapped potential in women, I am confident that they will continue to break barriers and empower others." He added, "The programme also demonstrated how these women have contributed significantly to the government's journey to Amrit Kaal as we work towards achieving India's Viksit Bharat goal by 2047."
According to Asahi Pompey of Goldman Sachs' Office of Corporate Engagement, women entrepreneurs will be equipped with the right set of skills and mentorship in addition to strategic network access, and this will serve as a potent driver for long-term job development. The program will provide women business owners with a more thorough understanding of expansion and growth.
