2024 BRICS Women's Leadership Forum held in Beijing

On June 11, 2024, the 2024 BRICS Women's Leadership Forum with the theme ‘Value Diversity, Share Prosperity’ took place in Beijing with the presence of BRICS countries’ representatives. The speakers of the event spoken on the topics like supply chains, digital transformation, ESG, and cultural exchanges, during the opening ceremony.

A Chinese international trade organization’s representative underlined the importance of empowering women belonging from the BRICS countries. In addition, Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Ren Hongbin introduced the 2nd China International Supply Chain Expo, urging more women to join the grand event.

He stated, “This forum is the platform for promoting women's development across many fields. We hope more and more outstanding women from BRICS countries contribute their wisdom and engage in the global supply chain, economic development and people-to-people exchanges.”

While talking at the event, BRICS Women's Business Alliance’s 2024 Rotating Chairperson, Anna Nesterova added, “Today, women are playing an important, constructive role in all areas of public life, including politics, economics, science, culture, and education. All BRICS members have a special national comprehensive policy to facilitate woman empowerment. Now, the share of women in BRICS countries is 23 percent of the total numbers of entrepreneurs.”
