215 women entrepreneurs have graduated from the FCMB SheVentures Mentoring Programme in a virtual ceremony held recently. The FCMB SheVentures Mentoring Programme was built in collaboration with NECA’s Network of Entrepreneurial Women.
This was the 11th cohort from the program. It aims to support women in business by teaching them essential business skills and provide market access along with networking opportunities.
The six-week long program focuses on five critical business areas namely, strategic management, financial management, operations, sales and marketing, and human resources. Industry professionals help participants gain entrepreneurial knowledge through one-on-one mentorship sessions and discussions about their respective industries.
Adefunke Kuyoro, President, NNEW noted the resilience showcased by the mentees while also talking about the role played by the programme in facilitating sustainable business growth.
“This graduation marks the start of a new chapter where these women will make impactful contributions to the economy,” she said.
Nnenna Jagogo-Jack, Head of Women Banking, FCMB gave the keynote at the graduation and highlighted FCMB’s steadfast commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs’ growth.
Dr Yemisi Adeyeye, Managing Director and Cofounder, Lifefount Hospital also addressed the participants and talked about “Investment Readiness for Business Owners”.
Pastor Kemisola T’Oluwanimi, Head, NNEW Academy, gave out certificates, bringing the ceremony to a close.
