As a part of the Return to Work Pathways Program, more than $2.7 million will be provided to 13 projects around the state that will help women in finding work and make up their careers.
Over the next two years, the Return to Work Pathways Program will help more than 1000 women in being job ready and find sustainable employment.
Minister for Women Jodie Harrison welcomed the award winners and celebrated their initiatives during a speech at Two Good Co., which complement the NSW Government's commitment to advancing women's economic opportunities.
Mr. Jodie stated that women face frequent barriers in the workforce and in certain places, there are other challenges about their phases of life and circumstances. They need equal participation in the workforce which is a cornerstone to achieve gender equality and economic stability.
He further stated that he is delighted to support the initiatives taken to provide community-led, wrap-around solutions to the women who will get most of the benefits.
Two Good Co. has successfully obtained funding to administer the "WORK WORK" employment pathways program, which offers women facing homelessness or domestic and family abuse meaningful employment in its kitchen.
The participants will be receiving guidance from a social worker, an enthusiastic coach, and training to become job-ready.
Minister for Women, the Hon. Jodie Harrison was introduced by the Founder and CEO of Two Good Co. Rob Caslick. He stated that Jodie will surely change the course for women who will be rebuilding their lives after domestic and family violence.
