2nd Annual WiB conference brings together Women from 4 States

The second annual Empowering Women in Business conference bring together women from Four different states with an aim on networking and leadership on May 8, 2024, at Carthage Memorial Hall. The conference has variety of bustle comprising of skill-building activities along with numerous speakers that includes Anita Brooks who’s a business coach with a mother-daughter panel discussion alongside Shelby Neely of Living Well who served as the keynote speaker.

The organisers of the event are looking forward to inspire future leaders while giving tools to everyone who they can bring back to their own workplaces. This conference shall give an opportunity to the women to network and expand their connections with other industry leaders which will help them to grow in future. 2024’s Leadership Award presented Leggett and Platt’s Suzanne Hall.

President of Carthage Chamber, Julie Reams stated, “There’s something to learn from all generations, from retirees to the middle generation to even the younger ones. We want all age groups to come and learn and listen to those that have paved the way before us.” Julie has been associated with the firm from last 2 years and prior to that, she was the Event Specialist/Membership Director at Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce in the United States for 3 years.
