6th Gulf Businesswomen Forum Sees Participation from Ajman Chamber & AJBWC

The Sixth edition of the Gulf Businesswomen Forum was attended by a delegation from the Ajman Chamber and the Ajman Business Women Council (AJBWC). The event which was held in Al Batinah North Governorate, Sohar was conducted by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI). Established with the vision of empowering businesswomen from the Gulf, the Gulf Businesswomen Forum saw a collaboration with the Federation of GCC Chambers.

Led by H.E. Dr. Amna Khalifa, Board Member of the Ajman Chamber and Chairperson of AJBWC, the delegation included various AJBWC members along with Aisha Khalfan Al Nuaimi, Vice Chairman of AJBWC. The event was also attended by several noteworthy businesswomen councils, major government officials along with government agencies that are focused on project and business development.

Dr. Amna spoke about the importance of the forum, highlighting the crucial role it plays in strengthening businesswomen's projects. She also spoke about the many key recommendations developed by the forum to chisel the future of women's entrepreneurship in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

While addressing the forum Dr Amna spoke about how the platform empowered women business owners to add to the growth of GCC countries’ GDP.

Additionally, the forum shed light on noteworthy success stories of women entrepreneurs. It paid emphasis on enabling knowledge exchange between Gulf businesswomen. Communication channels between businesswomen councils and relevant institutions were also facilitated at the event.

Several important themes were addressed at the forum, including “Empowering Women in the Gulf Economy,” and “The Impact of Innovation and Modern Technologies in Supporting Investments by Women Business Owners,”. Other conversations focused on “Partnerships and Creating Gulf Brands,” and “Corporate Social Responsibility, Environmental Responsibility, and Sustainability,” and “Mental Health and Professional Balance."

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Amna shed light on the various benefits presented by the participation of Ajman Chamber and AJBWC in the Gulf Businesswomen Forum.

A special mention as given to the Dr. Khalifa applauded the labour put in by the Government of Ajman to empower women business owners to contribute towards the sustainable economic development of the emirate.

A shield from AJBWC was presented by Dr Amna to H. E. Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rowas, President of the Federation of GCC Chambers and the Chairman of the OCCI. A token of appreciation was also presented to Eng. Saeed bin Ali Al Abri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the North Al Batinah Governorate Branch of the OCCI.
