Aboitiz Foundation signs MOA to provide Digital Skills to Women

In order to aid women, Aboitiz Foundation has signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Basilan’s local government. This alliance shall equip 100 female participants with artificial intelligence data annotation’s (AIDA) training for a total of 3 weeks.

With an intention to foster a better life for these 100 women, bilyonaryo Aboitiz clan is harnessing the power of artificial intelligence via digital skills which will help them to thrive and have a better understanding of this fast-moving contemporary online world.

Additionally, this step towards digital empowerment for women, is going to take place in a partnership with Connected Women, a non-profit group and Asian Institute of Management (AIM). Collaborative approach shall make this initiative hundred times stronger and faster.

During the signing ceremony, Ginggay Hontiveros-Malvar, President of Aboitiz Foundation signed the MOA with Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, the mayor of Isabela City. Mayor Sitti Djalia stated that the training shall benefit Isabela City and encourage it towards economic prosperity along with helping the participating women to take use of the digital economy’s opportunities. These 100 women will get the advantage of growth in the digital world and shall push them towards having a digital literate life.
