Abu Dhabi Police has taken a step forward by appointing a digital crime analyst, Captain Hagar Rashid Al Naeemi as the first female Emirati police officer to work. She will be taking up the position of liaison officer at the Innovation Centre of Interpol.
This progressive step by the Abu Dhabi Police serves as a motivation for all other countries. In order to promote gender equality in the police force, Captain Hagar Rashid’s appointment is now a commitment to making strides.
President of Interpol, and Inspector General at the UAE Ministry of Interior, Major General Dr Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi stated, “Proud of Captain Hajar Rashid Al Nuaimi, a digital crimes analyst, who will be joining INTERPOL’s Innovation Centre in Singapore as a liaison officer.”
He added, “Captain Hajar is the first Emirati police officer specialising in virtual and augmented reality, and the first female police officer at the Abu Dhabi Police General Command, to serve at the organisation.”
From June for a 3-year term, Captain Hagar Rashid has been appointed in the international organisation. Having such prowess, her work at Interpol shall take it towards expertise in analysing cybercrime. This is a huge step towards gender equality as well as women empowerment.
