Access Bank has announced the opening of the application with the launch of Womenpreneur Pitch-a-Tonne programme’s sixth edition for women entrepreneurs in Nigeria. This particular programme is considered as one of the largest business growth platforms for African women that has a duration of 3 months, including 120 women who shall receive 8-week mini-MBA training programme. It will be conducted in an alliance with the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
Abiodun Olubitan, Access Bank’s Group Head in Women Banking articulated during the launch in Lagos, saying that the 10 winners amongst the 120 finalists would be given a business grant of N17.5 million. These finalists would get free business coaching throughout the MBA period in addition to close monitoring as well as businesses evaluation from a certified consultant for a 6 months period.

We have had participants who had opportunities to launch their businesses in the international market. The women have learned useful skills such as business marketing, management, and digital prowess, which they have applied to their businesses to experience the growth recorded.”
In order to assist women entrepreneurs who runs their businesses and has been on the run for atleast a year, this Womenpreneur Pitch-a-Tonne programme has been designed particularly for them. These women entrepreneurs must have minimum of 50% of business ownership or businesses’ controlling rights while also falling within the age group of 18 to 55 years.
