African countries’ government leaders shall convene in an initiative for accelerating the green economy of the country at African Women Sustainability Conference 2024. These leaders are representing more than 20% of the countries of the continent.

The event has been organised by ImpactHER in an alliance with the United States Department of Commerce alongside African Union. It is all set to be held in Nigeria’s Abuja. In addition, the event is being hosted by Federal Capital Territory (FCT). It is going to take place under the theme ‘Igniting Africa’s Green Revolution: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs as Catalysts for Sustainable Growth and Unlocking Access to Eco-Financing’.

ImpactHER Founder Efe Ukala stated, “This is more than a conference—it’s a turning point for Africa’s women entrepreneurs. By uniting government leaders, global financiers, and visionary women entrepreneurs, we aim to unlock millions of dollars in eco-financing by 2026 and position women as the driving force of Africa’s sustainable future.”

Furthermore, the conference is organised with an intent towards bridging the green financing gap while also keeping recognition to the women-led businesses’ pivotal role in the economies of Africa, addressing the significant barriers they come across in accessing eco-financing opportunities.
