AgriTech Startup SOLASTA Bio Appoints Paula Pinto & Daphne Preuss as Senior Leaders

Paula Pinto has been named as the Chief Strategy Officer of an AgriTech startup from Glasgow to lead its US Operations. She will lead the operations from North California. Just a few months after securing a £4 million investment, SOLASTA Bio has announced the appointment.

Ms. Paula will be incarcerated for defining SOLASTA Bio's global go-to-market strategy, creating corporate alliances, and also working with Chief Business Officer Daphne Preuss who has also been hired recently and will also negotiate with the alliances. SOLASTA Bio specializes in the next generation of green insecticides.

Paula has an experience of more than five years in chemical engineering by training and spent more than 25 years in international marketing and operational roles for multi-billion dollar specialty chemical and agricultural solutions companies. She has established UPL as a global leader in sustainable agricultural solutions and infused new levels of capability across crucial business areas during her four years of leadership journey.

Daphne is an experienced entrepreneur who is highly committed to advancing genetic and biotech developments in agriculture. Catalytical which is her firm has been assisting the CEOs of several innovative businesses for the past four years in order to help them focus on their goals in order to quickly expand efficient operations. Prior to that, she created and led Chromatin for 11 years as president and CEO.

The company's commitment to gender diversity among its leadership team is underscored by the appointments of Paula and Daphne comprising three out of four board positions and three out of seven leadership positions led by women.

The company's Chief Executives are Shireen Davies, Professor Julian Dow, and Dr Paul Bernasconi. With hiring 12 new employees in the last six months, the company now has a team of 20 R&D, commercial, and consultants.
