Albertsons Welcomes Sarah Mensah & Lisa Gray to Board

Albertsons Companies has announced the addition of Sarah Mensah and Lisa Gray to its Board of Directors, bringing the total number of directors to 11. Albertsons Cos. CEO Vivek Sankaran expressed pleasure at the inclusion of these outstanding professionals to the board.

Sarah Mensah, NIKE Inc.'s current President of the Jordan Brand, offers a lot of expertise in brand elevation and innovation. Sarah was crucial in Nike's global and Jordan businesses, and her 19-year stint with the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers demonstrated her leadership in rebranding and financial viability.

Lisa Gray, Cerberus Operations & Advisory Company, LLC's Vice Chair and Senior Legal Officer, brings over 35 years of experience in complicated mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and debt restructurings. Lisa was appointed by Cerberus Capital Management affiliates to replace Mr. Scott Wille.

The appointments are in line with Albertsons' 2024 transformation goal. In 34 states, the firm runs 2,272 retail food and medicine outlets. Albertsons maintains its commitment to community impact, investing more than $200 million in food and financial assistance in 2022, including the Nourishing Neighbors Program, which delivered more than $40 million to combat food poverty.

Sarah joined the board on December 12, 2023, while Lisa took over on November 21, 2023. These directors' various skill sets are expected to boost Albertsons' growth and benefit its consumers and stockholders.
