The Women Wing of Pakistan’s Alkhidmat Foundation has launched ‘Gaza Packing Drive’. The three-day program aims to help women and children affected by the conflict in Gaza by providing essential relief to them.
The initiative commenced today at Alkhidmat Complex. It has received participation from women volunteers hailing from diverse backgrounds, such as students from various educational institutions. The program is being conducted under the leadership of Kulsoom Fatima Ranjha, President of Alkhidmat Foundation Women Wing Pakistan.
Kulsoom Fatima Ranjha expressed her solidarity with the unfortunate victims of the conflict in Gaza and shed light on the difficult situation faced by people in Palestinian. She also mentioned that the situation was tougher on women and children. “Amidst the Israeli atrocities and bombings, a staggering 70 percent of the casualties are women and children, with approximately one lakh pregnant women in distress,” she said.
Kulsoom reiterated the commitment made by Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan towards helping aiding the people afflicted by the conflict. The foundation has already sent over 2080 tons of relief supplies worth two and a half billion rupees to Gaza.
The Gaza Packing Drive which was organized by Alkhidmat Women’s Wing, emphasised on collecting essential supplies catering to the specific requirements of women and children in Gaza, including pregnancy kits, baby kits, and hygiene kits. Through this initiative, the Alkhidmat Foundation is pleading Pakistani community’s unwavering support to their Palestinian counterparts during these difficult times.
