AmCham Kuwait hosts 1st Women In Business Diwaniya 2024

AmCham Kuwait has hosted its 1^st Women in Business (WIB) Diwaniya 2024. The event brought influential leaders and professionals together coming from different sectors in order to have discussion on the developing initiatives promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in the workplace.

During the event, Vice Chair of AmCham Kuwait, Dr. Arezou addressed the attendees with an enlightening speech while encouraging them towards collaborative efforts in establishing a framework, the DEI Matrix that focuses on fostering sustainable inclusive practices. In addition, Dr. Arezou spotlighted 2024’s agenda while having a strong aim at capacity-building with measurable outcomes along with scalable actions while ensuring success for women in business.

The event was attended by the KWEEP (Kuwait Women’s Economic Empowerment Platform) founding members. They also expressed their advocacy and endorsement towards building Sustainable Inclusivity Matrix.

Moreover, the importance of capacity-building was also encouraged by the Diwaniya via initiatives that includes mentorship, workshops, and further studies. Besides, AmCham Kuwait has a sole focus on leveraging its networks to support these efforts. Dr. Arezou also encouraged all the event attendees to share their thoughts and insights putting a focus on what has worked in terms of capacity-building and what can create a lasting impact.
