Schneider Electric, a worldwide leader in energy management and automation, has hired Amel Chadli as the Gulf Cluster President in a strategic move to strengthen digital transformation and sustainability activities in the Gulf area. Chadli, who was formerly the Vice President of Digital Energy and Energy Management Software for the Middle East and Africa, will now lead innovation and growth in digital transformation, sustainability, and energy management via the use of artificial intelligence technology.
Chadli underscored Schneider Electric's commitment to people development and the company's continued investment in local talent, guaranteeing the company's position as the digital partner of choice for sustainability and efficiency in the UAE and the Gulf region.
Chadli played a major role in Africa's energy evolution, campaigning for fair access to safe, dependable, and sustainable electricity throughout a 19-year term. She serves on the Executive Committee of RES4Africa as an advocate for UN Women Empowerment Principles in Africa, helping to Africa's energy transformation and Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7).
As a result of Chadli's appointment, Ahmed Khashan, previous President of Gulf Countries at Schneider Electric, will take on the job of Senior Vice President Strategy and Business Development for International Operations, with responsibility for the Middle East and Africa, India, South America, and the Pacific.
