The Big Sister Foundation of America is looking forward to empower young females for becoming independent as well as self-sufficient. The foundation’s most recent location was Montgomery for ‘All Girls Matter EmpowHERment Conference’.

In addition, Dr. Tragil Wade-Johnson as a young girl looked for a space where young girls can have the feeling of being confident and empowered. However, when she didn’t find such a place, she moved forward to create it. Moreover, she happens to be Dwayne Wade, the former NBA player’s sister.

Dr. Tragil said, “When I originally started it, it was because of a space that I felt as a teenager I wanted, and that’s what you do. I always say if you feel that there’s a need, and if it’s bothering you, you may be the one who has to now build something and make it work, and I’m just so grateful that there’s so many women who feel the same way.”

Adding to the statement, she stated, “It’s a whole day; during registration, we’re line dancing, we’re having a good time, we’re starting our morning off that way. But we’ll be having panel conversations, we’ll have mental health conversations; we’re all about sowing the seed in their hearts for now, as well as their next.”
