An Nisa, a women-only taxi company in Kenya, has announced ambitions to expand into Saudi Arabia, marking a significant step after reaching the milestone of acquiring roughly 10,000 customers in its native market. The firm made the news in a press release that Ripples Nigeria saw.
Mehnaz Sarwar launched the business in 2018, and it has subsequently transitioned to an app-based model and amassed more than 10,000 members.
Mehnaz Sarwar, the founder, and CEO of the firm, commented on its manner of operation by pointing out that it provided several ride-hailing options for customers looking for high-end taxi services.
“We have a staff of female drivers, and we cater to ladies and kids”, the woman stated. “For working women and parents, we also offer monthly packages. We strive to provide a safe atmosphere for both our drivers and consumers while empowering our drivers by offering them higher rates.”
The safety of women was a concern because there were several reports of harassment of women in taxi services. An Nisa is distinctive in that we exclusively compete against women.
"We made a good start, and we're now trying to attract additional clients. Strong corporate clientele we have to include Standard Chartered”.
"We generate revenue from daily rides, monthly subscriptions, and corporate customers."
