APF Canada Concludes Canadian Women-only Business Mission

The Partnering for Sustainability: The Canadian Women-only Business Mission to Taiwan and Vietnam has been concluded by Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada. The event was held, involving 216 business-to-business (B2B) meetings with Asian partners while engaging with a total of 166 companies and organizations across Taiwan and Vietnam.

This event also witnessed two deals signing worth an estimated C$11.4 million till date. As part of the Foundation’s 2023-2025 mission series, the mission ‘Northeast X Southeast: Advancing Partnerships Between Canada and Asia’ took place last month from 17-23, marking APF Canada’s Women’s Business Missions to Asia Series’ 8th mission.

The event was primarily focused on technology and innovation sectors, highlighting all the innovations that has been made by Canadian women entrepreneurs, considering dynamic economies of Taiwan and Vietnam. It also presented ideal market opportunities that can help Canadian businesses and entrepreneurs.

The mission which lasted for 7 days, assisted 30 Canadian delegates that includes a supply chain technology company, Calico’s representatives who signed an MoU with GM Apparel & Accessories Company Limited in Vietnam. In addition, Assistant Deputy Minister and Chief Trade Commissioner at Global Affairs Canada, Sara Wilshaw alongside Consul General of Canada, Annie Dubé has witnessed the signing in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
