Ascott Australia has garnered praise for its innovative practices and policies in appreciation of its steadfast commitment to advancing gender equality within its workforce. The award was given in the Medium Business category and was based on the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) guidelines, which evaluate the tangible activities that firms do to maintain gender parity.

Ascott Australia's GM Brand and ESG, Anthea Dimitrakopoulos, expressed pride in the accomplishments, saying, "At Ascott, we understand progress on gender equity requires action to nurture equality in the workplace, and I'm proud of the progress we continue to make and this recognition for the changes we've made."

Ascott Australia introduced a pioneering parental leave program earlier this year, giving 24 weeks of leave with paid superannuation, assisting primary caregivers in connecting with their babies. The measure intends to protect vulnerable populations from homelessness in the future, specifically addressing the growth in women over 50 experiencing homelessness, according to census data.

Ascott Australia, in addition to parental leave regulations, introduced a Paid Menopausal and Menstrual Leave policy in recognition of the impact such symptoms can have on women's employment. The corporation has also spearheaded training and mentorship activities to help women in the workplace develop their leadership abilities. Their Diverse Committee and fair participation Panel Pledge guarantees that committees and conference panels have balanced discussions and fair participation.

David Mansfield, Managing Director of Ascott Australia, reaffirmed the company's commitment, saying, "Ascott has taken and will continue to take tangible action to ensure our workplace truly reflects the communities we operate in across the country."
