In a recent announcement, ASHA Microfinance Bank Limited revealed that Funmilola Paseda Oladoyinbo has been appointed for the position of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, becoming the first ever female to occupy such role. In addition, it is esteemed ASA International Group’s subsidiary, being one of the largest global microfinance institutions. Reflecting on the milestone, this step shows the bank’s dedication and commitment towards diversity and innovation in the financial sector.
Moreover, Funmilola has been working with First City monument bank limited for the over 13 years, occupying diverse positions. Prior to that, she has worked with Bank PHB Plc (Keystone Bank Ltd) for 3 years and Ecobank Nigeria for over a year as Business & Retail Banker. She is seasoned professional with an extensive experience of more than 2 decades in the Nigerian banking industry.
Considering her academic side, she is double MBA holder from prestigious Nottingham Business School (Nottingham Trent University), United Kingdom in Data Analytics, from Delta State University in Marketing. Besides, she also has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ambrose Alli University. Furthermore, she has served as a volunteer in Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company Ltd, Delta State as Teller, Cash Office (NYSC) and First City Monument Bank Limited as Talent Pool.
