Asia Foundation in Mongolia Introduces Women's Climate Resilience (WCR) Program

A parliamentary delegation and President of the Australian Senate Sue Lines have recently been hosted by Asia Foundation in Mongolia with an intent to discuss certain topics that includes gender equality, social inclusion, and climate resilience.

During the event, the foundation also introduced the Women’s Climate Resilience (WCR) program. In addition, it was launched in the month of August 2024 and is funded by Embassy of Australia to Mongolia via the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia.

Duuren Tumenjargal, the MNCCI CEO said, “With the collaboration of the Australian Government, The Asia Foundation, and the MNCCI, we will further expand opportunities for the development and international export of women-led businesses. Together, we will continue to write a new chapter in the history of women’s entrepreneurship in Mongolia.”

Moreover, President Sue Lines added, “Australia has a long history of partnering with The Asia Foundation to support the sustainability development of our partner countries. Through the Women’s Climate Resilience project, we are proud to support women’s livelihoods and leadership in responding to climate challenges in Mongolia. Today was an amazing opportunity to see the positive impact of the Australia-Mongolia relationship on the Mongolian people.”
