The Security Industry Association (SIA) and ASIS International have joined forces to start a new event that will highlight women in security.
The Security LeadHER conference will take place at the Hilton Nashville Hotel Downtown in Nashville, Tennessee, beginning on June 12 with a reception and concluding on June 13 with conference programming. Security experts devoted to developing, networking, as well as empowering women in the security domain will attend this conference.
Kasia Hanson, chair of the SIA Women in Intelligence Forum, said, "We have done phenomenal work to empower all security guards to advocate, recruit and grow the presence of women to ensure a more equitable and diversified sector, and see this program as a vehicle to advance this work" (WISF). "We welcome the opportunity to work with a broad group of experts and view this as a premier educational, networking, and participation opportunity to bolster our capacity to foster significant and long-lasting change across the security industry," the statement reads.
The first-ever SIA and ASIS World conference devoted to the advancement of women in the world security industry will be held on February 1–3, and Security LeadHER cordially wants to invite you to apply to display and share your expertise at the event. The conference is intended to empower women in protection and their allies while examining global security topics, responding to frequently asked questions, and learning the practical principles that motivate today's most successful women in security.
You are urged to submit your speech proposal, regardless of whether your area of expertise is security development, technology, or trends, or if your interest is communication, power skills, diversity, equity, or inclusion (DEI). You can submit your plan at https://securityleadher.org starting on February 1.
Brittany Galli, chair of the ASIS Women in Security Community, added, "Our mission is to develop women in the security sector, see them excel in their professional responsibilities, and ascend to the C-Suite pushing corporate leaders to take action to transform this industry for the better. "We have long understood that women are underrepresented in the security profession. We intend to address the problems and solutions to achieve our goal, which is to significantly increase the percentage of women in protection data statistics over its current 11 percent."
Registration costs just $395 for ASIS and SIA representatives and $495 for non-members who are qualifying for $100 savings.
Security LeadHER is open to people of all sexes and backgrounds. This session is for you if you embrace our objective to advance women in the world security business! This two-day event has been planned to be a welcome, open, and pleasant space.
There will be many chances for interaction and teamwork during Security LeadHER, as well as exciting social programs and networking chances. The academic programming will be divided into two tracks, Leadership and Security Trends, and will feature more than 30 subject matter experts who are leaders in their fields.
