A total of 250 scholarships has been offered by Asian University for Women in Chittagong, Bangladesh for highly qualified female students coming from Gaza. The students can join undergraduate or graduate programs for their scholarships.

Costs like international travel, room, board, tuition and health care will be included in the scholarship in addition to a monthly stipend for the female students. On the basis of their academic performance as well as other accomplishment records, the selection of those 250 students are already done.

Kamal Ahmad, the Founder and CEO of Asian University for Women confirmed the commitment during his call on Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, His Excellency Dr. Riad Mansour at his office in NY.

Stanford University President Professor Richard Saller explained his experience during a recent conversation, regarding teaching a students’ group from AUW at Stanford one summer stating, “as the most rewarding teaching experience of my career. These students came from modest families in various countries across South Asia. One of the principal goals of AUW was to instill confidence and a powerful sense of agency in these students, who came from societies that limited opportunities for women — sometimes severely.”
