Avon to Launch First Physical Store in the UK

Global beauty behemoth Avon is launching its first physical stores in Britain as part of a major push into brick-and-mortar retailing.

The group intends to launch the first wave of beauty stores in the UK in the next two months. Its representatives will franchise these stores, which will run under the Avon name.

The 1886-founded company Avon is reintroducing brick-and-mortar retailing, which is a big change in its business strategy. This company has given women a way to make independent money by sending its representatives door-to-door to sell goods straight into homes. The company has moved its product sales strategy from door-to-door sales representatives to online and social media platforms.

Avon is growing its beauty line even more throughout the Superdrug network after partnering with the pharmacy and beauty chain in September. This is the initial instance in which Avon products can be bought in UK high-street retailers.

On November 27, Avon, which first made its debut on the company's website and in 100 Superdrug stores, will begin selling its goods in hundreds more locations. Additionally, there are plans to grow across the whole Superdrug network.

By establishing franchise stores in important foreign markets like Brazil and South Africa, Avon International is growing its physical retailing footprint. Avon's global chief executive, Angela Cretu, announced that sales growth in Turkey had doubled, opening up new markets for the business.

Avon is going physical in order to meet the needs of eighty percent of beauty purchases made by women who value touch and experience. It also considers the changes in Avon's clientele that have happened since the company was founded 137 years ago. Because more and more women are working from home, convenient services are required. UK retail establishments first want to develop into tiny beauty boutiques.

Without taking business away from local representatives, the Turkish trial has demonstrated that retailers who focus on neighborhood communities rather than high streets have seen a significant increase in sales. The organization intends to open 150 locations, with staff members providing a wide selection of goods and cosmetic guidance. In an effort to empower women, they are also giving representatives training on how to open retail franchises and providing the required technology.
