Advancing Women in Technology (AWIT), a worldwide non-profit organization, maintains its engagement with the United States Department of State's Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) program in an important step toward empowering women in the technology industry. The cooperation aimed at preparing women and marginalized groups for technological leadership roles featured a three-part Masterclass titled "Future-proofing Your Business."

This Masterclass served as a pre-conference session for the AWE Indo-Pacific Women in Tech Summit, which took place in Taipei from November 13-16. Shanti Punukollo, an AWIT board member, presented the keynote lecture as part of the U.S. Speaker program, which connects overseas audiences with U.S. expertise.

The American Institute in Taiwan's AWE Summit, conducted with the cooperation of Taiwan's Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration, included sessions on women leaders in digital revolutions and the influence of technology on entrepreneurship. There were 75 women entrepreneurs in attendance from Brunei, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The relationship between AWIT and AWE demonstrates AWIT's commitment to strengthening women in leadership internationally. Nancy Wang, AWIT's Founder and Board Chair, expressed excitement about the organization's purpose obtaining international prominence. The organization's collaboration with the US Department of State is in line with its larger efforts to provide resources to female entrepreneurs throughout the world in order to propel their businesses forward.

The Women in Tech Summit, according to Catherine Muller, Team Lead for the US Department of State's Academy for Women Entrepreneurs, represents American leadership in the technology and entrepreneurial sectors. The partnership advances US foreign policy objectives by encouraging economic opportunity, equity, and societal participation in the Indo-Pacific area.

AWIT continues to bridge the gender gap in tech leadership via innovative initiatives and collaborations, demonstrating its commitment to encouraging diversity and inclusion in the rapidly developing technological sector.
