Bangladesh based Eastern Bank Launches women's banking website

On March 20, 2023, at a round table discussion titled "Women's Participation in Smart Bangladesh," Eastern Bank Ltd. (EBL) introduced a women's banking platform for its female businesses.

According to a press release, this portal is a completely self-service platform where consumers may access a full range of online services, including company management training, access to finance training, entrepreneurial development programs, and online loan applications. Forrest E. Cookson, an economist, gave the roundtable's keynote paper.

Women leaders including Dr. Tanjiba Rahman, chairman of the Bangladesh Freelancers Development Society, Ambareen Reza, co-founder and CEO of food panda, Sara Zaker, co-chairperson of Asiatic 3sixty, Zara Mahbub, CEO of Dun and Bradstreet Data and Analytics Private Limited, and Ali Reza Iftekhar, managing director and CEO of EBL, among others, took part in the event.
