BBK announces its Sponsorship for 'Global WEF & Exhibition'

In a recent announcement, Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait has revealed about its ‘Global Women Economic Forum & Exhibition’ sponsorship which is being organised by the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Association with an intent towards celebrating the silver jubilee of the association. Founded in 1971, BBK is a leading retail bank, catering in the Banking industry.

In addition, the event took place under the Wife of His Majesty the King of Bahrain President of the Supreme Council for Women, Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa’s patronage. This particular sponsorship highlights the commitment of BBK towards its CSR for females as key partners in Bahraini society’s development, aligning with the efforts of the bank for assisting, encouraging as well as promoting initiatives that focuses on women empowerment while raising their pivotal role awareness in economic along with social development.

It is a part of the long-standing approach of BBK for upholding principles of equal opportunity as well as gender equality while keeping an aim at enhancing the Bahraini women’s progress alongside highlighting their remarkable contributions across numerous fields in the landscape.

Moreover, BBK has been honoured by the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Association during the forum for its sponsorship. The accolades were received by the Assistant General Manager of Human Resources and BBK’s Equal Opportunities Committee Chairperson Najwa Al Ahmad. A memorandum of understanding has also been signed by the BBK Chief Representative Officer in Turkiye Bilgun Gurkan and the foreign economic relations board of Türkiye (DEiK) representatives with Bahrain Businesswomen’s Association as part of the activities of the forum.

This MoU was signed with an intent towards enhancing assistance for women entrepreneurs within the region while facilitating trade exchanges between the two countries.
