Blackwattle Investment launches Mentorship Program to Empower Women

A mentorship program is all set to be launched by Blackwattle Investment Partners, intending to empower more women for the funds management industry. Established in early 2023, the Australian investment manager has recognized that this profession is a male-dominated sector where women always remain underrepresented, specifically in leadership roles.

Females are accounted for only C-suite positions’ 18% across the glove (financial services organisations) in the year 2023. However, by 2031, the global growth in the share of women financial leaders without having a more concerted effort, may not reach even 25%, according to Deloitte.

Blackwattle made an announcement for the launch of Women in Finance Mentorship Program (they said in response). They said, “Our mentorship program marks the first phase of our broader commitment to advancing women in the finance industry. Future phases will likely include the launch internship, scholarship, and cadetship initiatives to further support and develop female talent at every stage of their careers.”

The company stated that this is an industry-level focused program that has been designed to aid experienced women professionals transition to get into investment management sector, developing the next generation of female finance leaders. Adding to the statement, the company said that it shall be opening applications for the program in the upcoming weeks.
