The Business and Professional Women's Association (BPW) collected support from business partners and raised over KYD 8,500 in a concerted effort to tackle Grand Cayman's escalating cost-of-living challenge.

More than 200 uniforms were distributed to pupils nominated by the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and Big Brothers Big Sisters Cayman (BBBS).

Cheryl Myles, President of BPW Grand Cayman, highlighted the increased strain on families as a result of rising living costs and the additional costs connected with the school year.

BPW was able to realize its purpose of enhancing the Cayman community thanks to partnership with partners such as PWC Cayman, Island Taste, ReMax Cayman Islands, and Proven Bank.

Over 400 clothing items, including coats, slacks, skirts, and shirts, were provided via a voucher system through collaborations with Becky's Closet, The Uniform Shop, and Clifton Hunter's PTA. The new strategy insured that children and parents could enjoy back-to-school shopping while receiving assistance.

Tracey Pilkey, a member of the project committee, stressed the necessity of children feeling their best in order to do their best academically. The Department of Child and Family Services thanked BPW for their continuous dedication to Cayman's children and families.

Uniforms were provided to various schools around the island, ensuring that many pupils had a great start to the new school year.
