BRAC Bank & Moner Bondhu partners to Aid Women's Mental Health

BRAC Bank has collaborated with a mental health and wellbeing counselling service provider, Moner Bondhu in order to support and aid women entrepreneurs’ mental health while considering the progress of entrepreneurship.

Deputy Managing Director and Head of SME Banking of BRAC Bank, Syed Abdul Momen alongside Founder and CEO of Moner Bondhu, Tawhida Shiropa signed the agreement on February 29, 2024 in the presence of BRAC Bank’s Head of Women Entrepreneur Cell, Khadija Mariam, and Moner Bondhu’s Head of Mental Health Program and Lead Psychosocial Counsellor, Kazi Rumana Haque.

The collab shall work within the bank’s Women Banking’s flagship capacity development program called ‘Uddokta 101’. Moner Bondhu will offer mental healthcare facilities to the program’s former-and-current participants in classroom setting. They will get professional counselling which shall help them understand their mental health better.

The Sessions shall help the women entrepreneurs or business owners to maintain work-life balance, manage stress in addition to addressing gender disparities in entrepreneurship. The BRAC Bank employees along with their families can take the all the services of Moner Bondhu at a preferential rate.

This collaboration will help many women entrepreneurs who are suffering from mental health issues. This will ensure that they get proper counselling and understanding of mental health.
