On October 16, the "Festival of Enterprise," organized by BRAC, unveiled a brilliant show of entrepreneurial energy and women's empowerment. Ommey Salma Tanzia, divisional commissioner of Mymensingh, opened the event at the Boishakhi Mancha at Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin Park.
Ommey, in her keynote talk, underlined the critical significance of financial empowerment for women. She emphasized that when women have economic means, they utilize them to improve family health and education, so contributing to the basis of a strong, educated community.
The tremendous impact of women's economic independence on their families was underscored by Nazneen Sultana, deputy director of the Department of Women Affairs in Mymensingh. She pushed women to take on varied roles, claiming that self-sufficiency leads to familial wealth.
Sultana also advised women to seek help when they needed it, emphasizing the importance of organizations like as the Directorate of Women's Affairs and BRAC.
The event included stations highlighting unique stories of perseverance and invention, with the primary purpose of promoting direct sales from female entrepreneurs to clients.
BRAC's Microfinance Programme, which includes over 5.5 million female entrepreneurs and members, is playing a critical role in the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises, improving economic empowerment for these determined entrepreneurs.
