BRICS CCI WE Unveils Global Women Leadership Program

In order to strengthen women's leadership in the global business arena, BRICS CCI WE, The BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry's women's vertical, launched the BRICS CCI WE Global Women Leadership Programme.

The three-month hybrid program, which begins in December 2023 and is aimed at women professionals and entrepreneurs from BRICS countries and other friendly countries, will include mentorship and learning modules designed to improve leadership skills, foster global connections, and gain insights from industry professionals and global leaders.

Approximately 25 women professionals and entrepreneurs with at least two years of experience will participate in weekly sessions, with successful participants receiving a BRICS CCI certification. An initiation cost of $120 will be paid to candidates who wish to participate in the program, which will meet on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Kalpana Sharma, Former Additional Secretary, Lok Sabha; Dr. Aisha Bin Bishr, Director General of Smart Dubai Office; Nicole Nguyen, Co-founder of APAC DAO; Jenny Chen, Founder & CEO, A&J Consulting International; Noopur Jhunjhunwala, Trustee & Co-founder, Changeinkk; Nidhi Goyal, Managing Partner- Avinav Consulting, and others are among the distinguished mentors participating.

The program's significance in developing women's leadership was stressed by Ruby Sinha, President of BRICS CCI WE, who stated, "The BRICS WE Global Women Leadership Programme signifies BRICS CCI's commitment to advancing women's leadership in the global business landscape." It intends to provide participants with world-class mentorship, training, and resources. Aspiring female leaders are invited to join us on this inspiring journey of growth, education, and inspiration."

The initiative becomes even more important in light of the government's effort to boost female entrepreneurship. According to Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, Minister of State in the MSME Ministry, data from July 2023 indicated that just 19.43% of the over 2 crore enterprises registered were owned by women.
