A courtesy call has been paid on First Lady Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa, the empowerment champion by a BUSINESS delegation of women from Belarus. The delegation has visited Zimbabwe for the first-of-its-kind women in business summit. Dr Auxillia is the mind behind the summit.
Running simultaneously with United Nations Tourism Forum on Gastronomy for Africa, the women’s summit has been expected to give profit plenty of women. It has a primary aim of boosting connections and ties in addition to enabling both the nations to come upfront holding mutually beneficial projects for women in various spheres.
Dr Auxillia said in a statement, “I am grateful for the potato seed. I am also a farmer so I will plant some at my farm and share with Zimbabwean women under my Agric4She programme. We will have a variety together with our Zimbabwean seed. We will be updating you on the progress after farming. It is my prayer that the Zimbabwe soil contains this seed and it will propagate to benefit more women.”
Adding to the statement, she said, “The world is one when it comes to women. What Zimbabwe does, Belarus should know. What Belarus does, Zimbabwe should also do the same. I want to thank the President of Zimbabwe and the President of Belarus who have afforded us this opportunity as women to have our own conference to come up with tangible ideas and exchange ideas. I know you are a very strong team. I want to hear when I come to the conference the ideas we can rally behind and work along together on. I know we are going to achieve results because women are committed. Thank you for honouring my invitation. Make sure you visit all the places like the rain forest, the Victoria Falls and see what Zimbabwe has.”
