Victoria Flygare from Magellan has been appointed by GQG to look after the business development in South Australia and Western Australia. Business Development, institutional trading, equity research, and investment management are the key specializations of Victoria. She had previously worked at Magellan Asset Management for more than ten years, where she contributed to the creation of the company's first active exchange-traded fund (ETF).
Before this, she also worked at Eight Investment Partners and Ankura Capital as an institutional dealer. She will work in Adelaide and report her work to Daniel Bullock, the director of wholesale markets.
IFM Investors have appointed Jeannene O'Day as its director of business development in the meantime.
She moved out from First Sentier Investors, where she had worked for over ten years, most recently as head of institutional sales, to join IFM.
Jeannene had extensive experience working in Japan, Asia, and India and his expertise includes corporate advisory, institutional dealing, and asset management marketing.
In 2018, she was also named BDM of the Year at Money Management's Women in Financial Services Awards and Chair of the NSW at the Women in Super organization.
