The Smarter Living: The Canadian Women-only Business Mission to South Korea and Thailand will be led by the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada in the autumn of 2023, with significant backing from the public and commercial sectors.

For this supported mission, which is a part of the Foundation's 2023–2025 mission series, Northeast X Southeast: Advancing Partnerships Between Canada and Asia, APF Canada is now taking delegate applications.

In order to highlight the advances Canadian women entrepreneurs, contribute to these industries, the autumn 2023 mission will concentrate on the cleantech, health tech, and information and computer technology (ICT) sectors.

This dual mission to South Korea and Thailand, the seventh mission in APF Canada's Women's Business Missions to Asia Series, will bring together Canadian women entrepreneurs with companies in South Korea and Thailand to promote gender-inclusive trade, support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and spark global partnerships between Canadian businesses and these important Asian markets.

Thailand and South Korea provide excellent market potential for Canadian companies, notably in the cleantech, healthcare, and ICT industries.

Both nations strategically prioritise these sectors in their economic plans and provide alluring incentives to promote development and cooperation. Canadian businesses may develop a solid foundation, tap into the potential for long-term success, and forge profitable alliances by taking advantage of these complimentary industries.

Public conferences with high-level speakers from Canada, South Korea, and Thailand will be part of the Canadian Women-only Business Mission to South Korea and Thailand. These conferences will cover bilateral and regional trade issues, gender inclusion in the economy with a view to women's economic advancement, and SME support.

The participants will take part in individualised business-to-business (B2B) matching, corporate presentations, and networking opportunities with conference attendees.

The Canadian government, through Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, has generously donated funds to the South Korean and Thai Women's Business Mission.
