Chat for Women's Livelihood has announced a pioneering partnership with Turn.io, a startup focusing in impactful chat solutions, to launch an 18-month accelerator program for female social enterprise creators. The initiative is intended to economically empower women in low-income nations via extensive training, mentorship, and continuous assistance.
The accelerator program, which will run from February 2024 to July 2025, will begin with a three-month onboarding and training procedure, which will provide participants with a fully operating minimum viable product (MVP) ready for deployment. Applications are invited from social companies that focus on improving business skills, education delivery, access to digital marketplaces, payment mechanisms, and mental health or healthcare assistance for women and micro-entrepreneurs.
The campaign emphasizes the use of chat technology to alleviate gender inequities and empower low-income women entrepreneurs. Mentorship will be provided to successful applicants by industry specialists such as Solutions Engineers, Conversational Designers, and Turn.io AI/Data Engineers. The deal also includes a Turn.io Enterprise license and an 18-month subsidized WhatsApp Business Account.
To qualify, firms must offer a well-defined business case or Theory of Change demonstrating how a WhatsApp chat solution may improve women's economic agency. The selection process emphasizes individuals who are dedicated to establishing and extending a WhatsApp-based chat service, with an emphasis on long-term viability.
Interested firms are encouraged to submit applications by January 31, with the accelerator program expected to begin in February 2024. Through quarterly cohort meetings, the program intends to build a collaborative learning environment, resulting in a strong community of practice among the six selected firms.
