In a recent announcement, North West Business Leadership Team (NWBLT) revealed that Joëlle Warren MBE will be taking the position of first-ever female life president of the team. This particular step shows inclusivity while reflecting the commitment of Joëlle towards responsible business leadership.
In addition, Joëlle is the founder of Warren Partners. She has an extensive experience in boardroom diversity with more than 25 years, playing numerous roles in national and regional initiatives that also includes chair of the National Childbirth Trust and Cheshire’s Vice Lord-Lieutenant.
She has also driven diversity-focused programmes since 2017 after joining NWBLT. Some of those programmes include Rising Star and Diversity Driver groups that aims at fostering racial and ethnic inclusion, specifically in senior leadership within North West.
She stated, “It is an honour and a privilege to be named as the NWBLT’s first-ever female life president. Since joining the NWBLT in 2017, I have been passionate about ensuring that talent, irrespective of background can thrive and be represented within senior business leadership and is a responsibility that comes with leading a successful business. My appointment strengthens this resolve, and I am looking forward to seeing our leadership in this agenda extending to other businesses across the North West.”
Furthermore, NWBLT has made another announcement regarding the appointment of 2 new board members i.e., DWF chief sustainability officer Kirsty Rogers and Grosvenor Rural Estates head Nicholas Dobbs.
Kirsty is armed with expertise in ESG strategies and equalities law, having focus on sustainability and diversity within the workplace while Nicholas has been leading communities’ contribution to the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of the organisation.
Kirsty said, “I am honoured to be joining the NWBLT board and being able to offer my legal and sustainability expertise to the organisation, providing a lens on complex and ever-changing legislation.” Nicholas added, “I am delighted to represent Grosvenor on the NWBLT’s board.”
