Cisco Secures Contract for network infrastructure of upcoming FIFA Women's World Cup

Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) to host the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2023 where Cisco has been named as the official network infrastructure provider for the tournament. The tournament is expected to be watched by almost two billion people across the world. To connect with the tournament ecosystem and power the delivery of the broadcast, Cisco will provide the network.

The tournament will begin in July and take place in ten different stadiums across nine cities in Australia and New Zealand. The network will also connect the tournament locations that are not included in the competition such as the International Broadcast Centre (IBC) which will use Cisco's IP Fabric for Media solution to provide the delivery of 4k video content globally.

Carrie Palin, the senior vice president, and the chief marketing officer at Cisco stated that the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 is going to be the marquee international sporting event so far and the firm Cisco is proud to be the trusted provider to connect and protect the network on which the entire ecosystem will operate.

The FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 demonstrates the commitment of support to the sport of football and makes this platform a good influence on the players and fans globally.

Cisco also established an "all-female dream team" within its Networking Academy to provide its members a chance to help with the installation and servicing before and during the tournament.

The "dream team" program offers aspiring IT professionals hands-on experience at some of the largest events around the globe whereas the Cisco Networking Academy offers free IT training courses and career development chances to the students.
